Designed for ages/levels/abilities, applicable for all artists ranging from young/aspiring to amateur/professional.

Explore what it is to be both artist & human and how we implement both worlds in our daily lives. Both parts of SPLIT are tangential, however, participation in both days is not required and artists can engage in either day without needing to be informed by the other. The purpose of dividing the workshop into two-parts is to give the artist space in between to put into practice what was addressed/discussed and to come back and contribute feedback about their experience.

Steps PDX and Sirens dance company are teaming up to offer a workshop series highlighting phenomenal female hip-hop choreographers in Portland, Oregon. Classes will consist of two, 1-hour classes, starting at 5:00 pm. Each class will be a collaboration between two female choreographers who have teamed up to share their unique movement into one class. Let’s all come together and celebrate our love of dance, the Portland dance community, and empower female hip-hop teachers.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rose Haven Day Center for Women
