Dear Steps PDX
Family & Friends,

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Although this time is incredibly difficult for everyone, we remain positive and actively working to be an accessible resource for the community.

We are excited to announce that we will be offering a hybrid of in person and virtual dance classes this 2020/21 season.

We understand the need to take significant measures to protect the health and safety of our dancers, families, artistic staff, and community. In-Studio classes are limited in size due to state mandates and are filled on a first-come first-served basis. Once we reach a capacity of 10 dancers per class, you will be placed on our waitlist in the order we receive. We will be taking preventative measures to ensure everyone’s safety and continue to monitor information from the CDCOregon Health Authority, and the Multnomah County Health Department, while implementing best practices accordingly.

*Steps Pdx reserves the right to cancel classes if there are changes to the pandemic or the state-mandated regulations.

We will be taking preventative measures to ensure everyone’s safety, including:

A reminder to please quickly pick up and drop off students at the studio. We want to minimize the amount of people in the hallway and building so please do not linger.

Water bottles must be left in the hallway. Please socially distance (using the green dots on walls as guidelines).

Floors will continue to be sanitized everyday by vacuuming, steaming (killing 99.9% of household germs, as well as dust mites and surface mold), followed by a sanitation floor cleaner specifically for marley dance floors.

As we navigate this uncharted territory together, we ask for continued support of the non-profit arts organizations in our community. Non-profit organizations like Steps for Youth have no contingency budgets in the case of health emergencies like this one; our resources go to the continued operation of our school and students. It is impossible to close any business, including Steps, without creating hardships for the organization, our students and dedicated staff. Your support is even more critical right now as we navigate these challenges. Please consider making a donation to sustain our organization during this critical moment. A gift of any size is impactful, and your generosity would be deeply appreciated by all our dancers, artists, and dedicated staff at this extremely vulnerable time.
